I’m setting sail on the Disney Treasure later this year and I’m freaking out a bit because not only will it be my first Disney Cruise, it will be my first cruise EVER! So of course, I’ve been doing a ton of research and this is what I’ve learned so far.
✨Make sure to download the Disney Cruise Line App before boarding. It will help with checking in, setting your schedule, learning about your stateroom, and it includes an adorable countdown clock so you can get excited for your trip! It will also allow you to learn about your specific ship facts and offerings like dining, lounges, entertainment, spas, and pools.✨

✨A MagicBand+ will expedite your embarkation at all the ports, allow you to unlock your stateroom, make onboard purchases, link your photos, and more! It includes dazzling light and haptic vibrations during interactive moments, including in the dining rooms, during fireworks, in the atrium and kids clubs! And on the Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny, your band is the key to unlocking The Haunted Mansion Happy Hunt, a ship-wide search for mischievous ghosts.✨
✨Your luggage will not be delivered to your room right away, nor will you be able to access your room immediately, so you’ll want to make sure you have your essential items with you in a carry on bag on embarkation day. Disney Cruise Line carry-on bags cannot be larger than 22 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 9 inches deep. For tips on what to pack CLICK HERE.✨

✨The restaurants can get very busy in the morning hours, especially on port days when everyone packs in early in order to be able to grab a Mickey waffle or two before heading to shore. The good news is that room service is available 24 hours a day so you can plan to start your day with a calm breakfast on your private veranda.✨
✨Plan for excursion days at your ports of call. Pack a beach bag, water shoes, sunscreen, & snorkel gear (if you don’t want to rent). I also plan to take a waterproof phone case so I can capture photos and video without concern. Staying hydrated is a must so taking a refillable water bottle will be helpful. What do you NOT need to take? A towel! These will be provided when get off the ship.✨

✨It’s a Disney Cruise so of course there will be several families on board, but if you’re looking to dine with less little ones around, keep in mind that the second dining time is usually less crowded because most families with small children prefer to dine early. It won’t be entirely kid free dining, but if you are looking for that, there are certain venues on board that have you covered…✨
✨Check out the onboard bars and lounges for specialty cocktails and exclusive experiences. All the Disney Cruise Ships have adult-only spots for you to unwind with a cocktail, hear live music, or take a spin on the dance floor. The Disney Destiny and Treasure (the ship I will be setting sail on) have the Haunted Mansion Parlor which I al SO excited to experience!!✨

✨I’ve been told to Rub the Lamp in the Grand Hall aboard the Disney Treasure for a special surprise. I wonder if a GENIE will appear and grant my wish! 🧐✨
